Holy floodwaters! We're about to get trapped, me thinks. There's only one way left for us to get out as the other end of North Barnstead Road no longer exists. Halfmoon lake is about 6 feet shy of flooding 'our' end of North Barnstead Road. Luckily, the house sits on fairly high ground so we're most likely good. But there's 3 or 4 houses across the street that Halfmoon has already reached...
So far, we've got about 15 roads closed around us and they're expecting to double that, according to some local DPW guys I ran into at the store...
My one hour commute home took me damn near two hours today as I kept having to find ways around closed roads. If we get the 2-3 more inches they're talking about tonight, I'll have no way to get down to work (not that there's anything wrong with that!)...
Howz everyone else doing? Let's hear from all ya'll. Check on in!
Hang in there and be safe!

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
Yeah, really hope everyone stays safe and doesnt run into too much trouble with this storm, hopefully stuff starts to clear up and everyone can start getting cleaned up.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
Normally, you could canoe or kayak through this...
This is across the road, where Halfmoon Lake flows into 'our' lake. Again, I've canoed through this many times...
Halfmoon Lake, kinda across the street. It's overtaken about 2/3 of this particular yard...
Halfmoon Lake, a touch less than 6 feet from North Barnstead Road...
This is looking out our new addition. Hard to tell, but the water's about level with our yard. Normally, there's a 3 foot drop to the water. Our dock is actually free-floating now. It's the only thing keeping that paddle boat from sinking right now...
The water is pretty high here as well. It gets worse when it's high tide.
