    Detail shops.

I'm looking to get my truck detailed.
    Buff,polish, waxed and interior shampooed.
I'm looking for someone that knows how to use a buffer.
Not a kid that thinks they do..

First off, you don't need a high-speed buffer unless you have damaged paint. In fact, it's not a good idea because high-speed buffers tend to remove more than what's needed, reducing the life of your car's paint. A low-speed Craftsman or something similar is all that is needed. After that it's just a matter of knowing what products to use for what the car needs.

    Re: Detail shops.

I worked in a detail shop for about 10 years. Do not just bring your car to anyone to buff. It can be a good money make for shops to just do a one or two step process and cover all the swirl marks with wax. To do it right, it us very time consuming and can get expensive. It is easy to damage a cars finish with a buffer if you are unsure what you are doing. Find someone with many years of experience.

hit up these guys in Weymouth if you're anywhere near by: http://drivenperfection.com/

Alex is an awesome guy. He doesn't just run one of the best detail shops around, but he is very involved in all the Boston area car shows/meets/events.

He entered 3 cars in the World of Wheels show a few weeks ago, and IIRC took home 5 awards.

EDIT: feel free to look him up on facebook and check out his work. he posts new pictures up almost daily: facebook.com/DRIVENPERFECTION

    Re: Detail shops.

I'm curious about people too.. worcester is not too far away for me in Natick. At a time I used to have a garage available to do this, but I don't... so the best it gets is a car wash at the "do it yourself" washes, and a quick wax detail. I'd love to find someone that can do a decent job at a reasonable price as well.

I've wanted to go to drivenperfection, but it's too far. I'd like to know about the worcester location just so I can figure out how far away it is.
