So, I was reading about this and the phone looks pretty awesome. I will probably be ready for another phone at the end of this year and since my company will not allow me to access the Blackberry Enterprise Server for a true integrated mail/calendar/contacts solution, I am thinking about going back to a Windows Phone and this one is very attractive. I am looking forward to trying it out whenever it is generally released to the public...lets hope they make it for Verizon.

I'd strongly advise waiting for a bit and seeing what sort of reviews it gets from actual users. Every Windows Mobile phone I've ever had or used was a dog. Terrible mobile operating system -- and given the way Microsoft works, I don't really believe that version 7 is going to be a huge improvement aside from cosmetics.
If I were you I'd check out one of the Android phones.

Wil, RIM has released a BES express, which i'm planning on running at home. it's BES with 1 user license included. it's designed for smaller business that pay-as-you-go for CALs.

I don't know I think MS actually is starting to understand the consumer needs with smart phones. It can only take so much of a beating from the other mobile devices before it starts to realize what it needs to do. The first phone is suppose ot have some pretty good hardware behind it so it shouldn't be a dog.
I definitely would not be the first group of people to go out and buy, but I will be keeping a close eye on its reviews when it does get released.
The current HUGE negative is there are not many APP's that are currently out there that is compatible with 7

True, and besides xda developers, who out there gives an F about windows apps?
I still haven't met a smart person with a Zune, so I'm not seeing this phone thing getting very far. You could always run an Android OS with a killer custom desktop/ui overlay for much less horsepower.
