"fuckit!"
Mad props to Freddy's tranny shop in Hudson NH!!!!
So Nate and i installed new u-joints in my truck last night trying to eliminate a long term vibration this thing has had. Getting ready to put the rear drive shaft back we noticed that there was a spot with a lot less rust than the rest of the my shaft. (thats right, i had a rusty shaft!) Looked a lot like a missing weight! D'OH!
I dropped it off this morning and just got it back at lunch time from the drive shaft shop... friggen awesome guys... they sand blasted it, pressed it, balanced it and painted.... $55. Should roll fine now!
The guys gave me a tour of this big ass computer controlled massive machine that does the pressiing and balancing measurements. They said it was way out of balance and 1/4" out in one spot (bowed) so it should be a very different ride now! They guessed someone hung it up on something off road. I havent taking this truck off road yet so it must have been a previous owner, so i am off the hook on that one!![]()
