How's this for interesting...

... I've been working at the same place for almost 5 years... 4 of them in my current position... I make a mere $.25 an hour more than STARTING PAY...

I had everyone & their mother congratulating me last week on a huge promotion & was ready to start immediately, making almost 8k dollars a year more than I'm already making, only I had it ripped out of my hands at the last second... Not to mention, one of the guys that congratulated me on the promotion... IS THE ONE THAT ENDED UP GETTING IT. This not only cost me that big raise, but it also cost another guy his JOB (he was supposed to replace me, but now I don't need replacing).

Instead, I was given a MUCH smaller & less meaningful promotion as a "consolation prize".... only... I wouldn't be starting that position for another two MONTHS.

I just had my job review & I was given "Exceeds Expectations" almost across the board... yet I haven't heard anything about a raise, even though I know for a fact that at least one person has already heard that they'll be getting one.

On top of that, the "consolation prize" position I WILL be getting in about two months from now wasn't filled for today because the guy I'll be replacing took the day off... instead of having me fill in, they put some guy on the schedule who 1 - was supposed to be on vacation this week, 2 - is getting paid time & 1/2 because it's overtime for him (because he's technically on vacation), 3 - Has been working here less than 3 years and 4 - doesn't have a FUKKIN clue because he hasn't undergone ANY training for the position.

I've already had to help him with the simple task of updating the daily roster & sending an EMAIL because he couldn't do it himself... Not only that, he didnt' even know he was supposed to do it! Then he brings up the fact that I didn't get that big promotion & just "can't believe they didn't give it to" me.




... so Fuck You, how's that for interesting?
