I went out very early today. Like 6 a.m. I rode up to Maine via Rt. 1A and had a blast along the coast. The Maine coastline is a very nice place to ride! I put on about 250 miles. Now that it is hot and every asshole is out on the road, I'm enjoying being indoors!

It's ok, ended up having a pretty good day. Bought her a brand new acustic/electric guitar for her birthday ( a month early), found out that we DID get the apartment in Natick (YES!!!) and then I have friends over the parents house for beer/onion/garlic simmered then grilled italian sausage and Knockwurst (tried to get Brat's, but my friends who went to get them couldn't find them).

Then went to another friends house, played with their new little kitten, then came home and made milkshakes for me and the woman since they haven't turned on the AC yet (isn't it June???!!!) in my building.

Man God and I went riding yesterday night. Left the house around 5:30pm, went to have dinner at Fitz Willy's in Northampton, then headed out again....I made a good/bad decision to take this route 143 that i don't think I've ever been on before. The road was awsome, and no cars whatsoever.....then the sun was almost gone, I could see shadows of big mountains on the horizon...then it went almost pitch black and the nightmare started....BUGS hitting on our visors full force! I mean....zillions of bugs!! After a few minutes, I couldn't see shit and we had to turn around... I'm in pain this morning, my arms and legs, not used to ride anymore. Had a good time to.

I went out last night solo around 8pm to get us some dinner and got pelted by bugs too My helmet took the brunt of it - I think I heard some bigger stuff pinging my bike too, like june bugs or something...

yeah right? LOL I had something hitting me on my jacket a few times, I was like WTF was that??? We were in the WOODS, with barely any houses. IT's a good thing we turned around, because i learned later that this route would just have kept going all the way up to Pittsfield with no other route to bring us back to Springfield.

Actually, you could have stayed on 143 because it intersects with Rt. 112 in Worthington. From there you stay on 112 South through Huntington and catch Rt. 20. From 112, you are a little over an hour from Springfield. 143 was part of my "loop" when I lived out there because of the turns, overall lack of traffic, and it was only a few minutes away from my parents place in Windsor.

Before getting to Pittsfield, it also intersects Rt. 8 in Hinsdale which you can then follow South through Becket and Otis.

I thought it might intersect with 112 indeed...but I was not sure, and I was not willing to keep going to find out...it was VERY dark, and my little "one light" on my 250 barely lights up anything for me to see clearly at night. And with all those bugs, I mean, I'm not kidding, it was HORRIBLE!! In a matter of just a few minutes, my visor was getting worse and worse, I actually had to try to "wipe" the bugs off with my gloves to be able to see anything in front of me! ARGHHH We were just about 20 minutes from Northampton, so I'm glad we turned around to go back to more visible area...lol
