Need advice on last minute weekend trip...

So me and the girl were talking about heading out of Dodge for the weekend, pointing the car somewhere and enjoying the last bit of nice weather...originally the plan was to hit Montreal or Quebec and do a three day thing, but turns out she's gotta work monday morning 5am and she won't be out of work till 8pm tonight so given the timeframe we figured somewhere more local...

Any suggestions?

I dont know, I'm just throwing crap out there. If I didn't have my kitchen in various stages of disrepair, I'd say come up here and hang out.

Have you ever been to Stowe, VT? Its a nice place but pricey. Plenty of cool stuff to do, though.

Wakeda Campground Hampton Falls NH

Rental cabins, good people, if youre in to the camping thing. $65/night. Cozy up to a campfire for a couple nights?

Also another favorite is the The Ships Inn Resort on Hampton Beach. Still decent weather for walking the beach, etc. but better rates this time of year. Snag a jacuzzi suite with a decent view for about $100/night.

Littleton/Lisbon KOA Campground in Lisbon, NH. Great area for site seeing, leaf peeping and the like. A few miles off of Route 93, rental cabins also available for around $65/night. Check out Franconia Notch, Cannon Mountain, etc. while in the area or do a day trip in to Quebec.

In Vermont - Waterbury, Waitsfield, or Stowe - Stowe will be the most expensive. Waterbury is only a few miles away and half the price.

In Wildwood NJ they are haing the Irish Festival this weekend. They close down the streets and fill them up with drunks. Good times.

Bar Harbor is beautiful. Just went up for a week to get engaged. Picturesque New England lobstering harbor, but one hell of a drive for just a weekend. 6.5 hours from Central MA

lake placid, ny.....

lived there for a little over 3 years, amazing place. 180mi from concord. you can stay at the cobble mountain lodge on main st for like $30/night.
