I've been working in mass a lot lately, and have a tendency to buy excessive amounts of scratch tickets when i'm down there, since NH tickets suck (only thing NH has going for it is Powerball). Just wondering if anyone has won anything significant recently, be it scratchys numbers or whatever else?
I've never won more than $20 on one, but even that was a long time ago.

I don't think too many people can beat my scratch ticket record... I've had incredible luck w/ em... like.. out of this world odds.
money spent on scratch tickets - $0
money won on scratch tickets - $7
That's an infinite profit percentage. Beat that, motherfukkers!

I've hit for $100 before... ironically it was on the harley davidson tickets in the first week they came out
My uncle won one of the Anniversary Edition Sportsters on the HD scratch tickets.
Of course, he spends $200+ a week on lottery tickets.

the idea of gambling on things that are completely out of my control just seems idiotic to me. I'll gamble on pool, poker, etc where if I lose its because I got beaten. Not just a random draw, not worth it.
The way I look at it is "Your just donating to MA Lottery" but I guess you can't win if you don't play????

Lottery tickets are just a voluntary tax for the state .
TIMMYDUCK
The lottery is actually a tax on people who can't really afford it. Think about it for the most part who buys the tickets. Anyone who can afford to buy them don't buy them thats why they can afford to buy them, then you have the people can't afford to buy them, are buying them and thats why they can't afford to buy them, because a fool and his money are soon parted
Taxachusetts already takes enough of my money. It would be more fun to throw $1 bills all over the street and watch hobos fight for it.

I've won $200 before, but that's the best I've ever gotten. I was pretty damn happy though.
Ive hit for 50, and a hundred. I buy one a week. My brother has hit for 1000 a couple times.
At foxwoods I go and play blackjack. I aim for a 300 dollar win. If I lose, its no more than 600 cause thats what I go with, and then I dont go for a month. When I win I go more frequently. So since the beginning Dec I have been 4 times. Won, Won, broke even (lost 300 and won it back, called it a night), and Won.
So I guess my point is, have some self control and hope to get lucky. Somebody does win the bigger jackpots.
