Marine Corps veteran, Thomas Filiberti, is kayaking home to Galveston, TX from Long Island, NY. Please check out his journey at http://www.trekkingtom.com

My wife happened to be talking to an old high school classmate who knew we kayak. She mentioned that her cousin Tom was making this journey and would be arriving in the Albany area yesterday. He's staying with us for a couple days to restock and then is off to the Erie canal to head west.

AWESOME! You'll have to watch his trek! he is headed out and down the Mississippi and down the gulf to Galveston! He is figuring some time mid-winter that he will be home. He would love any cheering on the way, especially from a brother in TX!
