This morning I had to say good bye to the cage as it has passed on. It lost in a fight with a utility van. I'm in the market for 1 of 3 cars now. The options are down to another 2006+ C6 Corvette z06, a 2006+ Cts-v, or a 2010+ Camaro SS (I saw a Hennessey one posted on ebay with the 550 package that caught my eye). I'm looking to keep it under $40,000. Anyone have any experiences with any of these or first hand comparisons? Experience shipping a car? I'll listen to other suggestions for cars just for topic of discussions, but for the most part I think its accurately narrowed down to those 3.

Yep, it is Walnut St. The bridge over RT 1. Accidents happen there all the time, unfortunately this morning I was the statistic.

Take a look at the E46 M3 with an SMG if you can find it. Good convertables are showing up for about $25k...

For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction - and sometimes a scar...
Camaro FTW!
If you ain't first......you're last!
That photograph hurts to look at.
I still say a de-badged CTS-V wagon would be a bucket load of fun. Wish I had your budget.
I would go with a CTS-V for a classier yet sporty look. But with $40K, I would actually get a used 07+ M3 or 08+ 335. You can sometimes find a nice used A5 or even possibly an S5 (probably not realistic).
That sucks to see. I would go for the CTS-V. Most of the go of the 'vette with 4 doors.

Haha just this and the gsxr ended up in a junkyard. I managed to sell everything else I've had. This accident wasn't my fault as I was hit by utility van coming onto the road from an off ramp. But of course it will come down to the police report. The office had me do a sobriety test and accused me of having track marks because of a scar from a mountain biking accident a few months ago haha

Put the powertrain from the C5 in a 10-year-old Mazda mini-van. Then you can haul bikes flaht out.
Want a 2001 MPV?
Go fast. Have fun. Repeat.
you're right. Especially the wagon ones because they're relatively limited in production even more so in standard. Also as you get to the newer ones the regular cts-v with the 6.2 they still start around $45+. I've always had great luck with my purchases though so I feel I could get lucky enough if thats what I decided on.
I"ve seen an '09 S5 with 18k for under $45k, I'me sure a dealer would take an offer in the ball park of $40k. Anyone driven one? I've been turned off to audi and most german made cars due to repair and modification costs.
Edit: After reading up on it and the performance factors of it I can't say I'm all that interested. 0-60 in 4.9 and only about 350hp, doesn't sound like much fun.

Shows how close I've got to actually shopping for one..
My usual pricing suspects on the interwebz insist that the CTS wagon didn't exist before '11.. and never came in a -V.
I saw a -V wagon at the ice-cream joint up off of 11 just south Alton last summer. Guy even had a receiver hitch on it.
Nobody I was with had any idea wtf the car was.
So much want. That or a gray market S6 Avant.
