anybody go this weekend ?
my uncle was there yesterday around 10am said the line was all the way up into the back parking lot , we showed up around 2:30 and walked right in , no big crowd .
I had never been to one so not sure what to expect . I was looking for a deal on a .22 semi auto hand gun , but all of what was there was higher than what I have seen on gun broker . (even taking into concideration the transfer fee and shipping )
even amo could be found cheaper elswhere , unless you were looking for some hard to find stuff .
only ended up getting a few bits and pieces , like a nylon folding Bipod for a rifle, $8.
anyone else get anything good ?

I would have gone had I been home. Deals on firearms are hard to find these days at gun shows. That used to be the way not too long ago. There are deals, but you got to be there early to find them and it's usually the people who aren't dealers who have the best ones.
I went to one yesterday here in Virginia. I picked up a few things and I did see a couple good buys, but I spent enough in the last two months on guns.
Here is what I got.
An M1 single slot gas plug. $20
An M1 combo tool $15
According to the writing a Winchester M1 Garand flash hider.$30 Apparently it Winchester marks their stuff with a .u. and makes them look surprisingly like an Underwood M1 carbine flash hider.
A nice UFH M1 bayonet straight from the CMP for exactly what the CMP sold it for. $65 The seller said he hand picked it. He only wanted what he paid so I saved on the shipping.
The last thing was some more "lazy dog bombs" $10 The only other ones of these I have seen are in my house. They have a cool history behind them. Lazy Dog Bombs.

You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
The gun shows at Fort Benning when I was in the Army were awesome: lots of high-quality firearms at good to excellent prices.
Most of the gun shows I've been to around here have been awful: prices range from mediocre to delusional. It is a good place to pick up items you need to inspect.
The Classifieds on NES are generally much better deals. I bought a similar type of pistol you are looking for - a Ruger Mk III Target - for a good price and met the guy at his R&G club.

“It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.”
I went to marlboro show Saturday. Freaking way too crowded. I was looking for a sig232 but didn't find one to.my standards ....I ended up with some 5.45 & .380 ammo.
The gun shows around the area aren't that good. I go every year to the Springfield show just to go, and I rarely see anything worth buying. The prices on rifles that I am personally looking for (M1A, preferably match grade) are outrageous. I can generally get the same prices at local dealers. Still fun to go though.
