so today i made the trip up to laconia BCM ducati to get my suspension setup, etc.
And i noticed this going up there and coming back home.
<begin rant>
People who drive in MA are assholes. Note that i said people who drive in MA. For instance, my ride home i came across it more often but in NH all the way to the border people would ALWAYS move the right to let me go. Didn't matter if they were NH/MA/VT tags. Now right after i pass the border into masshole territory, not a damn person moved over for me!! Not even the same people i passed earlier (i stopped to get sum smokes).
I think its in the air or something. I mean damn why do jackasses insist on traveling at or below the speed limit in the fast lane?
</end rant>
is it just me that notices this? cuz i told the wife and she thinks i'm crazy.

Just like waving at strangers when you are driving your cage ...
People who drive Fords never wave back.
People who drive GM wave back ... go figure!![]()

you should try riding down there and get caught in rush hour traffic.
The shoulders are used as another lane during the commuter hours!!
I was down near boston one time last year. Its NUTS!

I like when I almost get broadsided at every onramp on 101 and 293 around Manchester because seemingly no one knows what "yield" means.
Pretty much drivers suck, period.
At least in VT out in the boonies, not a whole ton, but a good portion of drivers will slow down, hug the shoulder, and allow you to pass on a bike if you come up on them real quick. I have yet to see that elsewhere.![]()
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
because everyone is too fast for the slow lane... thats why i travel in the slow lane at 90.... theres no one over there. that and since cops usually sit in the median youve got some cover from the radar gunOriginally posted by duey

Driving in Mass sucks.

I've noticed that, here in CT, everytime I come up on a vehicle in the fast lane and they refuse to get where they belong, it's a Mass, Vermont or NH plate. This seems to be the norm: the slow bastards from the north are in the fast lane doing 60 and all the New York and New Jersey guys are passing you doing 90 in the slow lane.
People need to go back to driving school. It seems that whenever the slow lane is bunched up in traffic, there's always one cotton ball behind the wheel of a Reliant K holding things up!

Running slow drivers off the road and into the median should be legal.
I like when you're moving along, and all of a sudden, theres a huge slowdown to like 30 mph. Traffic slowed up as far as the eye can see. 20 minutes later you get to the cause.........theres some idiot with a 1984 Chevy s-10 Blazer towing a 42' camper in the fast lane, going 30mph with black smoke blowing out the tailpipe, and theres 8,000,000 people behind that idiot trying to get by all at the same time. You get past, and things go back to normal. I wish people like that would just take the nearest exit and go drown themselves in a toilet.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.

MA drivers are assholes and drive bad intentionally. NH drivers drive are oblivious and don't know that they're driving like a retard.
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
In Mass, it seems like you have to drive like an asshole or you can't get anywhere. Metro-Boston area anyway.

thats exactly the way i look at it. I mean i'm not one to bop and weave/split cars at fast speeds, but it seems somethings to not get run over sometimes i'm forced to do so.Originally posted by bentbryan

In Manhattan if you appear to notice the cab next to you he will cut you off.
If you drive like you don't see anything then people will yeild to you.
The secret is to use your mirrors etc without rotating your head.
Mirror sunglasses help also....

I've definitely noticed a bunch of times, that when driving in Maine, northern NH, that people actually will move out of the fast lane for you when you come up. People in MA have that "well I'm already speeding, why should I move" attitude. It makes me want to throw a handful of nickels off their windshield when I finally get around. Very frustrating. I don't know what's so f'n hard to comprehend it's a PASSING LANE. One of my top pet peeves of all time.
What's even better is when that asshat who's doing 60 in the left lane who wont move speeds up when you go to pass.

And what about people that don't use directionals and apply makeup while they are driving on the highway, talking on their cell phones, eating a tuna sammich, yelling at their unseatbelted child in the rear seat of their SUV, which by the way has different pressure in each of it's four tires, all the while listening to Barry Manilow records?

I agree, but Me. drivers in Ma. are the worst - they get stuck on all those little backroads up there and then hit the Ma. highway system and think its Monaco. Accident? Police? traffic? no mind...they will blindly wfo it until they cannot anymore.
I like ny drivers because when going out W. in the past I could get some good cover going if I was on my bike. Just pass them jerky coming out of the tolls and they will spend the rest of the trip keeping 2 miles ahead of you to show you who's boss. If you can piss off two at once then your better off cause then when the first one gets pegged for doing a buck on the pike - you still have the second one![]()
Can't stand slow drivers in the left lane. If I'm coming fast at someone and they don't move out of the way, I get close enough and flash them the high beams in the face a couple times. If they still don't get it, I pass on the right lane, then cut them off back in the left lane. Pisses me off when they STILL don't get it and I see other cars coming behind that one slow car, and they still won't move to let any car go by. Stay the fuck out of the roads will ya??

I do that sometimes. Right after I realize it's pretty stupid, considering you could get really screwed if a cop saw it.
