Mohegan sun

So my first time down there was friday night and I Have to say I was impressed. Never had played black jack before other than on crappy little hand held games. I walked away with $70 more than I started betting with so I cant complain (cept my roommate made 700).
Where it gets shitty is the piss poor service we received at the best western in uncasville. About 2 mins from mohegan. Apparently if you dont show a discount when you arrive (aka AAA card) they have you sign an agreement stating you can't use any discount on check out.... which they neglected to tell my friend who had the room at 11pm when we showed up. So being in a rush she didnt pick up on this and they didnt say anything too us. The next morning on check out we found this out and they wouldnt budge, escentially screwing us with about $300 more in unexpected charges. so about 15 of us were sitting in the lobby waiting for our friend to try and figure out this billing issue, the manage comes out(possibly after a phone call from corporate customer relations) and demands that we leave immediately. My friend said we're out in a minute just trying to figure out this billing issue, the manager retorts with leave immediately or I'm going to call the cops.... worst customer service ever, so I highly suggest never to go there.

Were you guys being noisy and trouble makers in that lobby? If not, and you were customers there who paid for a hotel room and were just trying to figure out teh bill (being civilized and all), that's pretty shitty. I'd call someone higher and report a complain. They are supposed to have customer's best interest a priority, they work in HOSPITALITY after all.

To be honest, we really were sitting there being civilized, way too hung over and tired from being at the casino all night to cause any problems at all. Even with drinking the night before, there werent any complaints or anything, and even at that we weren't loud. I cleaned the 3 of the 4 rooms we were in before check out so we didnt leave a mess. I think this woman just got pissed because corporate customer relations called while were still there. I'm still amazed at the shitty service we got.... other than that the hotel was much better than expected, limo shuttle service was kick ass too

Really I'll take Foxwoods any day over them...I have stayed at both places and the walls at Mohegan were so thin I could here the person next to us snoring all night...
Also they are amost twice as expensive...Just my 2 cents..

My ex used to live 10 minutes from both Foxwoods and Mohegan. Oh man did those places rape me for money, especially before she turned 21 and Id have 10 minutes to go gamble while she got coffee, so I found the easiest ways to lose 100 bucks in 10 minutes and try to convince her I only lost 20

I never stay overnight, so I cant comment on that. From just an atmosphere and gambling perspective I prefer Mohegan

Does mohegan have a poker room yet? Foxwoods was always my first choice because they have holdem so I havent gone to Mohegan. I heard it's pretty nice there.

Foxwoods also has a bingo room! Theres nothing more fun than annoying the shit out of the old folks with some good old fashioned drunken bingo!


ANNDDD if you wanna get drunk on the cheap at Mohegan at least, go to the sports bar, they have video slots IN the bar with penny slots. You can put in a couple bucks, play the penny slots, dont even have to do it quickly, and get comped drinks all night. My ex was playing and there were no seats available, so I was just standing behind her watching and both her and I were getting comp drinks. We got LOADED on about 5-10 bucks.

I live right between both, and I like the sun much better. The lack of poker sucks and while they are going to have a poker room soon, Its not going to be true live poker. The sun also has better eats, entertainment, and clubs.
