    Angry Netflix streaming: shrinking Q?!?

any streaming customers notice thier list shrinking? In October my list was about 150 titles and I've noticed it slowly shrinking even as I've added more, now I'm currently at 77.

So today I notice the Monty Python series has disappeared and now on some other various TV series I'm seeing individual episodes that were previously there now "DVDonly"

I didn't really have an issue with the hole price increase / DVD split fiasco a few months ago as I still thought it was a decent deal and the service worked pretty much flawlessly. However this rather large and continuing loss of titles is starting to decrease the value and I'm not seeing much in the "new releases" section to replace the loss.

so anyone elses list withering away?

ive noticed that theres been less and less streaming content that im interested in watching. I had it chalked up to myself being less interested as of late but im assuming that less content has a lot to do with it as well

They lost starz last week. It was something like 10% of there steaming media but in reality it was like 50% since most of the other steaming stuff is garbage. Most things people watched were part of the starz package.

I have noticed this as well. Honestly, I use it mostly for kids programming, and that hasn't really been hit much, so it hasn't really bothered me too much, but it'd be nice to be able to catch a movie while she naps some days, and a lot of the ones I had in my queue are now missing.

I've noticed their selection is getting bad. I have a hard time finding anything I want to watch and even the DVD selection has thinned out. It may be time for me to stop paying for a service I'm not getting.

Ive been so happy since i dropped netflix and started the hulu and redbox combo. Id would kill to drop cable since i dont watch it but my wife's life revolves around bravo and there is simply no way to get it otherwise.

    This seems relevant : http://theoatmeal.com/comics/game_of_thrones

Just subscribed to Netflix for the GF (via Boxee box) and she seems happy with it. But shes just starting out, so surely they have something to watch. It will be interesting to see if there's still content a few months down the road. Its unbelievably frustrating that people cannot get the content they want LEGALLY, because the ologopoly of providers refuse, yet I can have it pirated in 30 seconds.

I found Netflix to be very good for the first 6 months then the better movies (ok movies I like) started getting harder to find. The good thing is you can watch anything no matter how bad it might be and if you can't stand it you can stop and it really doesn't cost you anything.
One thing that Is really good are the TV shows. They seem to have quite a few of them to choose from and usually a few years worth of a given show. The bad part is you can watch whole series in a few weeks then you have to find something else.

Trailer Park Boys became one of my favorites.

If you like tv have you tried hulu plus? It simply crushes netflix in that department. You can get new episodes the day after they air or entire series of older ones. Movies on hulu suck but the tv side is fantastic.
