    Polaris SxS - RZR 570

Anyone else into these? I just picked up a used 2014 RZR 570 with about 40 hours and 410 miles on Friday. I took it out to the sticks yesterday drove it around a little bit and its a hoot. We didn't get into any serious mud but it went through some overgrown woods roads really easily and felt super stable. It's narrow enough (50") to fit in my truck and generally seems easy to run and use. I plan on it being pretty versatile too as the dealer is adding a 3500b polaris winch in the next week or so and I plan on grabbing a 60" steel plow for my driveway this winter.

    Anyone else into these things?

my brother and his friends are into SxS,

for my utility use, they just don't work, ya need a trail or open field, they are just too wide for utility use in the woods I just picked up a like new 99 Sportsman 330 , only 550 miles

I found out mine is limited to 55 or so yesterday, but it feels like it could go faster. I wouldn't want to though. With soft tires and soft suspension, it gets a little floaty at about 40. I wouldn't want to make any sudden movements at that speed or it could be a roll-over type situation. The bigger ones, 800, 900, etc... will do upwards of 70+.

This one is only a few inches wider than most ATV's which I think are like 46-48". Those bigger models are 60+ inches wide and wouldn't be maneuverable in the woods. Mine did great yesterday, just a tad bit longer than an ATV.

ya, I was just as my local dealer a few minutes ago (meeting with the guy that backed over my V-strom to get him to pay for damage) while I was there, I looked at the RZRs they had in the showroom ( a 570, and a 1000), did not realize they were that narrow, I don't think my lard ass would fit in the seats comfortably

the Sportsman I just picked up is only 44" wide, but it is a few inches narrower than the newer models

that guy was at our shop first. i asked what he needed, he was tough to understand, and he showed me a pic of a v strom. i literally thought "that looks like randys bike", then i told him he needed to go over to RMS.

The 1000's might do 70, the 800 definitely won't, at least not without a huge downhill and a good tailwind. My brother in law has a RZR 800 and it struggles to get above 55. They're really geared for trail use.
