    Work Prank

so while i was off at VMware training to get my VCP cert, my boss decieded to completely tin foil my desk.

He even did under the desk to make removal more challenging.
then someone covered my 2nd monitor with colored post-it notes.
As the final piece, they covered my desk with things that annoy me. So my walls were covered with pictures of Apple & SQL logos.

So here's what I saw when I got to my desk last Monday:

the wheels, mirrors, and wipers were indivudually wrapped.
all the sides were taped to the under carriage.

the poster board was cut into the shape of a gift tag

    haha ...nice return favor!!

something similar was done at my work place too, to one of our bosses ... he went on a week long vacation to come back to this --- http://360.io/AzBrre .... we also had a motion sensing camera and recorded his reaction when he walked into his room.

    Re: Work Prank

we used to get the foodservice rolls of plastic wrap , 2000ft roll and wrap peoples cars on their last day when they left or retired . if you pull and stretch it tight, you can get more like 2500 ft out of it , over and under then around and over under end to end, you can not un wrap it as its hard to find the start point , and you have to cut it off .

fun to watch them try to get in. granted a bit more harsh than the wrapping paper .

also if you put some really long heavy duty zip ties around their drive shaft they will slap slap slap on the under carriage as they drive away .

rolled up bubble wrap tucked under the tires so it pops loudly as they back out of their spot makes them think they hit something . this also works well for fork lift / crane operators .

This idea could be fun! We are always on jobs and find those 2' long white zip ties the HVAC guys use...now to start saving them

I'd like to hear the follow up of the prank as well Jim

Well they won't be pranking me anytime soon. I got an email saying "well played", and that was about it.

I know about 25% of the staff came
Down to take pictures if his car.

My old boss used to always park like an idiot and make it difficult for everybody to get out, so I did the zip tie on the driveshaft and emptied the 3 hole punch into his vents. it was awesome seeing him get blasted with little dots, then when he's good and pissed, back out and hear the zip tie. When we had the Ford trucks, you could reach in and smack the fuel pump shutoff pretty easily, worked extra good just before someone tried to go home or to lunch.

    these are great.

a couple weeks ago I helped a guy shrink wrap another guys truck doors shut. Still waiting for some payback on that one.

in college a friend and I stole a bus. that was a good one.

I love the touch of the to-scale card. Did you ever see the video of the people who gift wrapped an entire apartment, including all the food in the fridge?

    Re: Work Prank

Thats great stuff. I have a feeling this is an ongoing thing in the office.

Sounds like this should be on ongoing topic.

Guys I work with have been known to pour this powder in the toilet that turns all the water into one giant piece of gel like a big piece of jello. No cool for the next guy who has to "drop off"
