    Finger Lakes

And not the porno-type. (though I won't turn those down, ifyaknowwhatimean )

Anyone have any recommendations for things to do/places/roads out there? Going in a few weeks, taking the bike.

Watkins Glen, the race track and the glen itself. Pretty neat.

    Re: Finger Lakes

The area immediately south and east of Ithaca is very nice. Some nice scenery up along Cayuga or Seneca Lakes too.

The Finger Lakes area is mostly about scenery though; not too many twisty roads, really.

Hit Ilion Gorge (NY RT58 just south of Ilion) on the way out or back, also Rt 13 between Chittenanago & Cazenovia

    Re: Finger Lakes

All the roads along the lakes are great for riding, have amazing views and have great places to stop along the way. There are many wineries that give tours, scenic overlooks, etc.

i'm sure thats just a typo, but its RT51, great road although they snaked it pretty badly. I just rode it yesterday. you can take that all the way to RT20 which will get you out west towards wine country.

    Re: Finger Lakes

Ilion gorge had a shitload of tar snakes added over the winter to the shitload already there, so need extra care.

    Glen Curtiss museum

There's a stretch of road just south of Syracuse on rt80 the locals call "13 turns" well worth the ride out since it's newly paved.

That area has alot of great roads.

They put thekid away that was riding that sportbike.

I was just out there last week with a bunch of ZRX guys - rode all over, saw 3 cop cars in 4 days/600 miles, not counting when we rode through cities/towns

Great area, just did a houseboating trip from seneca lake into cayuga down to Ithaca for a bachelor party. Ithaca is a fun town, check out the commons.

    Re: Finger Lakes

Rt 51 and Rt 20 were both nice drives in a car on the way to Unadilla for the MX National last weekend. I can imagine they would be nice on the bike as well.

There's a pretty neat classic car museum wast of Oneonta, can't remember the town. But that is pretty far east of the finger lakes region.
