Hi all...I have a problem and hope someone can figure this out. I'm running Safari on a MacBook. I cancelled an old aol account in January 2009. Just hadn't used it in so long. So, I forwarded a bunch of my aol emails to my yahoo account email, placing them in a "Saved" folder I created so I could keep them on record. The emails were from 2005. They've always looked normal, but today I go into my yahoo account, read my new stuff and then I notice that the emails in my saved folder start reading like this:
My day's planned activities got pushed aside since I have to wait for Fed Ex to get here with a delivery. It's one of my Persian rugs and I have to sign for it in person. I tried getting Fed Ex to leave it on my porch, but that is not possible. I must sign for it or I don't get the rug. Sooooo, here I sit waiting and waiting. I don't know if I will get to the gym or even get my errands done. These delivery companies can just bite, sometimes. At least I can get an email off to you during this forced down time. </div> <div> </div> <div>
Another example:
Such pandemonium whenever a holiday comes along. Bleh. So, now I have to scramble to get the troops fed, myself fed, showered, and ready for my shift tonight. Ah well. At least I don't have to go to work tomorrow. I can sleep, eat turkey, and be a general slug.</div> <div> </div> <div> Once again, have a fine Thanksgiving day.
EDIT: words like don't, can't, won't, etc. when I copy/pasted them here, they appear normal. Back in the email, there is coding between the "n" and the "t" for the apostrophe. Plus there's the coding at the end of the message. Any ideas as to why it is displaying like this? Is this a temporary problem w/my Yahoo account? Browser settings? Thanks in advance for any help.
One more example at the beginning of an email text:
