Next Season Let's make a MOVIE

How's this sound; We start off with Stonerstock and get to know all the members of NESR(I hearby bequif that STONERSTOCK is mandatory next year). Then at every race and every practice someone films(different member each time = different point of view). At the end of the season after the last race we piece it all together and sell copies to benefit the Injured Riders Fund.

I can do some of it, but not all, got a little girl on the way. But hell yes if we can get some on bike stuff, I only have a reg sony camcorder. I know they have bike mount for them though. Of course I only wanna put it on if you are willing to win, I might even throw Stoner a bone and definitly Gerard........ I will definetly donate as much time as I can to this...

I've got two hi-8 camcorders..... and rumor has it I like to take pics lol... but Sevens if there's any delivery room shots in there I'm OUT.. ewwwwwwwwwww LOL....

sounds like a good plan though... should be fun...and could be a funny video... who's gonna edit it all together? Degs? You did a good job on your others WOO HOO LOTS of Disturbed background music yeah baby.... But what format are we going to use? Does it matter? Can you edit it all together no matter what? 8mm is probably what most people have and it can hold the longest video I think.. either way count me in...

For example, the VIR mpg I put together that some of you saw was half hi-8 and half MiniDV. I can splice MPG, AVI, WAV, MP3, VHS,8MM, HI-8, Mem-stk, JPG, Gif, DV, MiniDV and anything else you can think of and output the whole lot to a DVD, VHS tape, MPG, AVI, DVD-Rom,

Oh, and Rabid1...... NO BETA!!!


If I try to output the final movie to DVD I get picture quality issues. Looking for a solution to that now, but it might be a high-cost solution (like $10G's high)

I can still make an MPG of the whole movie in high quality or make a VHS tape of the whole movie in high quality. If it is a long movie (like 2 hours or so) I will have to book time on one of my client's mainframes to render it as it takes my home PC about 1.5 hours to render 6 minutes of video at 48KHZ widescreen and 30 frames a second.

In a nutshell, yes I can edit it, but plan on it taking me about 6 months from start to finish if I get plenty of help. Also, the video will not be cheap, probably need to charge $100 for it at least if we sell about 30 copies, but it WILL look professional.

By the way, a video editing company will charge you about $8000 per minute of final tape, which is ok if you are selling a million copies of the tape but not if you are selling 30.

This is going to be the best group project yet. Four to Five cameras four to five angles and a dozen different points of view.

I'm thinkin kinda like A Sunday In The Sun type of vid(i thinks thts the name).

I'm in.....I can offer some computer/digital Camcorder/editing software. Plus I'm sure Chip would be glad to provide some PC power. Not to mention his singing skills......
