My backyard shoreline is starting to thaw...
Critters & vermin: Not in itself unusual. But this time of year they're really on the move looking to break their winter fasts with easy food and lookin' to get laid. And as macabre as it may sound, road kill is a good sign that spring's here...
Larger game acts much like the smaller, but they're not necessarily looking to get laid this early in the season. But where you may usually see 'em grazing on the fresh grass, you can catch 'em 'frolicking' a bit more this time of year...
Mirgratory birds are starting to show up around our lake, and can be seen heading north. Every now & then you'll get the stray flock that isn't sure what's going on and they'll be flying east/west...
Smaller birds are starting to hatch. You can catch the offspring mimicking their parents...
Our firewood is almost gone! Hard to gauge just how much we used this year, 'cuz we 'harvested' most of ours last year. With this year's silly temps, I'd venture to guess we used about 3-1/2 cord. At this point, what little we have left will be used in our outdoor fire pit...
We're pulling the 'Vette outta the garage this weekend to get 'er ready!!! Should be 'on the road' next week!!! Wooooo hoooo!!!
