Whew.
I got through the Phone Interview of a new job application tonight. Never have done one of those and was a bit apprehensive going in. Within 3 minutes however we were all busting jokes (2 ppl interviewing me on call) and it was all good past that. One of the two went to school at BU and used to race at Loudon so that was great. We talked for about a hour.
Hear back in a few days about flying out for a Face-to-Face Interview. They asked when I could start work and by Mid/Late May I could be a West Coaster...
I'm wicked wicked excited but if all does work out.. I'll definintely miss racing with everyone this season. Upwards on onwards thou.
Hopefully Stage 3 (facetoface) and Stage 4 (job offer) come through!!

Yea sorta. Instead of doing event/marketing in the Northeast for a company invovled with dozens and dozens of scenes (Red Bull) I'd be heading up Event Marketing for a company that only deals with one specific industry and be overseeing the entire Country. Reporting directly to the CEO.
Life's weird and you never know where the road is going to lead. I was a art major for christsakes.
We'll see thou. Not like I'm in a bad spot so either way going to be a great 2007.

Niiice! Good luck , hope it goes well for ya.
Good luck man. If you get the job can I have yours?![]()
Good luck to ya. I'm going through the same now, I've had the phone interview and the initial face to face. From what the recruiter that I'm working with told me a couple days ago, I'm the front-runner for the job, but they're having a hard time committing to the hiring.
This happens. It happened to me 5 years ago. I interviewed for a job and didn't get to working it for almost 5 months.
Mine is only moving the job location from Boston to Johnston, RI. This suits me fine, since Boston is an hour commute and Johnston is 20 minutes. (and no tolls or no T riding)
sooo what youre saying is there will be an opening at red bull soon.......
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

BS! You're gonna do 1 race or trackday at Willow or Buttonwillow or Cal Speedway or even run @ Laguna and say LRRS who? That aside from the myriad of worldclass roads when you want to be a weekend warrior. California is IT, period. It's as over populated as it is for good reason... I'd go back in a heart beat. Good luck!

Well, got home tonight from Cali and my interview. Went well I'd say, I'll know by the end of the week. They are calling my references tomorrow.
Think it didn't hurt that during one of my answers to the CEO. I used the Honda RC30 as a example and later during my Office Tour I saw a mint RC30 parked out back, which happened to be owned by the CEO.
