Radar detector Ordered! Mounting help?

I just spent some big cash on a V1 Radar/laser detector! Wow! But I have heard this thing is top notch! Plus the RC is already wired for it w/screamer!! Sweet!!

Now where can I find a mount for the bike????

Well after some of my own research I found a few companies with motorcycle specific applications. Fucking expensive!

Thought this mount was cool, I could have used this combe today on 495! Some prick in a town car was up on my rear tire in heavy traffic in the fast lane. I was doing 85 with cars all around me and nowhere to go. So I tapped the brakes to flash him, but not slow down.. No change, so I turn around and give the one handed wave, He then waves his hand telling me to GO as in faster.. Um Where the fuck was I gonna go asshole? Car in front / side in a big pack of traffic and you MothaFucker on my ass!
So I then flip him off. He decided to change lanes, after that traffic opened up and I took off never to see that prick again. Man I wis I had a bolt or rock in my pocket to throw at his windshield, even better this on the bike!!! That prick was seriously 1 bike lengh away from my rear tire! What the fuck was he thinking!

I want to mount it to my front fairing support frame with a clamp style, I will look at Seans. I forgot about his, I am pretty sure he fabricated it himself? I am sure I could do it with spare scrap aluminum from work and some kind of pipe clamp set up welded to a brace and platform??? Hmm.. Now I am thinking! Rare for me at this time of night!

Shouldn't you get to bed so you can get up and ride early for once??

Mike, call me. I can let you have the mount I used for very short money. I just found out it will not work on the race bike for the pencil camera.

well, this probably isn't the BEST place for it, but I have my crap-tastic radar detector mounted to the flat spot of plastic under the right bar. It doesn't interfere with any movement, and it's easy to mount there, and pretty easy to see. I suppose the bike may block some radar waves and make the unit less effective, but it still lights up all the time, so it's working well enough. I like it 'cause it's out of the way, and harder to see (less likely to be ripped off, or irritate any cop that nails me) Obviously if you mount it on the tank it will be much easier for you (and everyone else) to see.
