A very good friend of mine who is a police officer and her K-9 partner Tiger need a little help.

Here's the news story: Heroic K-9 Needs Help

Tiger's been ill, and has required mass amounts of surgery to save his life. As a Hinesburg patrolman, he's saved a number of lives, been recognized by the Governor for heroic acts while on duty, and helped track a school shooter earlier this year. He's also helped in the seizure of hundreds of thousands of dollars in narcotics and contraband.

He's also Barb's best pal, the two are inseparable. He has saved her ass on the job many times when dealing with psychos, bad guys, and douchebags.

Barb owns Tiger, and so his vet bills are her responsibility. The vets have given her big discounts, but even still there is a big balance owed. The Hinesburg Police had a small fund to help out K-9 Officers with vet bills, but it has been depleted.

There is a benefit dinner and an address to mail donations to, which are outlined in that news story. If you're so inclined, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks Jake - and thanks to everyone who donated.

I heard that they raised enough money to pay the majority of the vet bill, but will be going ahead with the dinner to pay for after care, and if there is any left over, put it in an account for future K-9 vet bills.

Tiger and Barb are at home, she has to stay at his side at all times because he has a giant incision and they dont want to risk it ripping open as it is a direct cut into his chest cavity. He apprently got an adema (not even sure what this is?) but they took care of it with medication.
