SICK!!
I though riding a motorcycle was awesome till I I jumped out of a plane last year... at some point in my life I will be certified. I did out the math and it would be around $3k to get certifed and another $3k to get a chute so the start up cost are a lot for just a hobby, once you're certified jumps cost like $8 to $15 bucks for the plane ride. one plus is if you're jumpin off a cliff though it's free :O)
Not exactly true....you also need to pay to have your parachute repacked, and the cheapest I have ever heard for just the jump was $22 here in New England.
I have went skydiving a handful of times over the past couple years and love it. Unfortunately I can only afford one hobby at the time so motorcycles it is. Hopefully within the next few years I plan on getting certified.
And as far as this video...this guy is fucking crazy![]()

for some reason i still feel safer hitting 200mph on 495 than that.. maybe its because i have never done anything similar but i just feel you dont really have much control over the speed and direction you are going..
my ex got me skydiving thing for my last birthday and i think it cost her 300$ def no 12 or 22 lol
My friend who jumps weekly has his own chute and packs it himself. He's not allowed to pack his emergency chute, but the point is if you start doing it regularly it can be less expensive. Going once when you have none of the gear is more expensive, just like a track day would be if you rented the bike and leathers, too.

You obviously didn't read what I wrote... this is after spending about $6k to get certified and buy a chute; going tandem is $300, when I went I had a groupon from half off so it cost me $150
Yes, it's exactly true, part of the training up in Pepperll, Ma where i priced it out was teaching you to pack your own chute. The only chute you can't pack is the emergeny chute with a Master packer () has to do it for you. You can do emergeny chutes if you take another course to be certified to do so.
exactly... to rent a chute for the day it's like $60 bucks unlimited jumps and you can pack this chute yourself if you take a chute packing course. plane rides are only
10,000-13,000 feet: $27
7,000 to 10,000 feet: $25
2,000 to 6,500 feet: $21
A little more than I remembered but I have seen them for less at different jump spots.
NO FUCKING KIDDING, imagine if the guy collided with the ballon guy. there would have been limbs flying everywhere at that speed!!!
