Ya gotta get into Trader Joe's in Cambridge and buy some 3-buck-Chuck! By the case! Wine-boozers everywhere swear by the stuff. Me, I do Maker's and Jack, but every time I gotta run down to MicroCenter my cousin demands cases of it.

I made a mistake back in January or February -- I'd heard somewhere that while it's pretty easy to tell the difference between a $7 bottle of wine and a $15 one, it's hard to tell the difference between a $15 bottle and a $30 one, so I decided to test that. Well, that $30 bottle of wine was really fucking good and forever spoiled me. I can't drink the cheap stuff anymore. I don't buy the $30 bottles very often because I'd go broke, but it's definitely increased the amount I'm willing to pay for a bottle. It's also educated me to the fact that there's a lot of really good wine in the $15-$25 range -- so in a sense it's true that a $15 bottle can be as good as a $30 bottle, but on the other hand an especially good $30 bottle is effing outstanding.

2 buck chuck is more like 3 buck chuck now. I can tell you a case will set you back 38 dollars even with tax. There happens to be one on RT 9 about 5 minutes from my office...

They have red, white, blush, etc..etc..etc..

2 good red wines in the $15-$25 range are Capolla (Merlot or Pinot Noir) or Sensi (Pinot Noir). Those are usually my two recommendations at the liquor store I work at.
