WANTED!! '08 Ninja 250

I am looking to purchase an '08 Ninja 250 in red. New or used, I am aware that the '09s are already hitting the showroom floors and that is more $$$ than I'd like to spend for a bike of that size. Dealership guys, anything in inventory?

Just a word of warning on the new 250's: The redesign set the farings much farther out than they were before, which means that where one drop on an old 250 maybe meant a new lever, now it means completely smashed plastics. I know the older ones aren't as 'sexy' as the new ones, but I'd highly recommend at least trying to talk the wife out of a new one. Why not start with an older 250 and get a zx6 or 636 when she outgrows it?

She's been riding for a few years (just sold her standard cruiser) and anything worth buying in the 600 class is a little out of our price range right now. Those are the main reasons for a 'new' ninjette.

I don't know that I'd put it that way... I just think that you're looking at spending twice as much for an 08 as you would for one that's a few years older. Your job as a man is to not let your wife make illogical decisions and If it were me, I'd rather wait til I had another grand and buy a bike she won't outgrow.
