At 5'4'' myself, I cannot get both feet on the ground on my SV. Good luck if you're shorter than this.
I'm 5'8", i'm sure it will be fine. I also am putting a superbike tail on it which i believe will be lower than the stock seat.

Depends how you do it. Mine is nicer than it needs to be but glad it came out the way it did. You'll def need to trim a bit to fit it over the subframe. We cut the subframe and removed a bunch of stuff, etc. At a minimum you're looking at cutting the tail and/or subframe, and make some sort of brackets to support the tail in a couple spots.
