I am posting this for a friend of mine. The car has 55,000 original miles. It currently has a 454 big block in it with 26,000 miles on the motor. But he also has the original matching #'2 350 small block. The car is a project car. Needs mostly interior work. body is in good shape and mostly fiber glass. Major mechanical restorations needed is: Steering, suspension, brakes some motor work. As I said, its a restoration project. BOTH motors DO run!!! He wants $3500 OBO...but he also motivated with a descent track/race bike swap.....PM for any questions.
Not for not, but a couple things come to mind right quick. Keep in mind I feel it's okay to address this as this isn't something YOU'RE selling, rather posting for a friend. Anyone can feel free to rebut that though...
-It's a long-shot that anyone here would want that...
-It's a complete, total clam and in it's current state he should be grateful to get $1000 for it...
-*I'M* a total Corvette-kinda guy (as if anyone here didn't know that). I wouldn't pay $3500 for a pristine specimen-type '77, never mind this mess...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I'll pass that along storm and thank you. I'm just posting what is asking for it I might ask him to rethink what you want to sell it for. thank you for your insight .
Being a car guy I would have to agree with Stoneman...unless you have a lot of bodyshop /Corvette background this is a serious project to get up and running . Might get more by parting it out...just another 2 cents . Good luck to him .
Yeah, I'm not trying to be a prick. And it's ULTRA rare that I say anything derogatory in someone's for sale thread. But that thing's a bucket and really isn't worth much. 77's could easily be considered amongst some of the most 'undesirable' Corvettes...
