Hey guys,
I had a car for sale, and got this bike in trade for it. So, now this bike is for sale.
It's in excellent condition. Never been tipped over. Only one noticeable scratch (picture below). Always kept in heated garage.
One thing of note is that the bike originally came from Canada, so the cluster is in KM/H instead of MPH. But it is legal in the US with clean VT title. Nothing wrong with it at all, very good shape.
2000 ZX9R
11.4k miles (19,034 KM)
D&D slip-on (comes with stock can also)
brand new tires (metzeler z6)
hotbodies undertail kit
I'm really not sure where to start this one. Let's say $3400 obo.
If it were gone ASAP I would be pretty flexible. I'm actually picking up a car in CT Friday night, so I could even deliver it along the way for free IF paid ahead of time!
If I still have it this weekend, I'll toss it up on Ebay.

The front brake lever seems to indicate it's been down on the right side. Nice looking bike otherwise.
Good eye, but no. The previous owner did that intentionally. I've seen a number of local people do that. Not sure why. But, I was using the brake lever without an issue. I actually kind of liked it since I'm used to using 1-2 fingers on shorty levers.

Also, Judging by the overwhelming response I've gotten so far... Let's make it 3200 OBO.

What do you guys think, is the price reasonable? Just a bad time to buy?
I'll put it on ebay this weekend.

eh... I would say the price is fair but it is winter. Everyone this time of year is looking for a deal and this is summer priced. I would hold on to it for a few months and you should be able to get $3400 all day long.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems kind of high for a 12 year old bike.

Ever heard of KBB or NADA? They only give a straight up value for a bike without considering much in the way of condition or mileage, but it's a place to start. Figure 2-3k average/year in this area so under 24k mi is low mileage for the year.
KBB retail says 3,100, Tradin says 2,100, so value private is probably around 2,500+300 for low miles = $2,800. Also KBB and NADA values are seasonal as well so the price should be more in the summer.
yup, i sold my 2001 zx-9 last spring for 2500, had 20k miles though

Tape on the guage cluster?
09 Ex500- totalled
08 SV650s!!!
Cages: Ford Excursion
Ford Mustang Gt
Toyota Rav4
Since the cluster is in KM/H, the previous owner had little tape markers (for example, 60mph at 100kph). I removed them when taking pictures for ebay..

You know, I would have to assume so but I can't say for sure. I don't know why Kawasaki would have make totally different wiring harnesses and everything for canada. I would bet it's just a different cluster. But I'm not certain.
What you could definitely do is just get a simple speedo healer which you could use to convert kph to mph. It would be just like fixing the speedo after changing gearing. Plus, your speedo would go to 300 mph..![]()

Interest you at all? Shoot me a PM
