Call me ignorant but...how many cc's that thing has? (100?) Too powerful for a kid of 12, soon to be 13 years old? Or even an 8 years old? (both girls)

XR100s are pretty tame motors, worst case you stick a piece of fuel line over the cable in the carb to restrict it.
off topic: how hard/expensive was this?
where could you ride it besides your own property and a track?
I've got an XR80R I might consider doing this to
Don't they race em in the mini races? Kurlon would know.

Most of the race series in Maine/NH restrict racing to horizontal singles in open cradle frames, so bikes like the XR80 and XR100 are out. There is going to be racing again at 106 Race Park this summer, the owner may be up for allowing bigger machines this year although that'd be a very tight track to try and wheel an XR100 around.
I'd love to find some place to setup a more open track sized for the bigger 'minis' to race and play, but so far have lucked out. I'm thinking the NHMS parking lot would be perfect, but I've no idea if they'd let us.
You could ask. I'll bring the YSR and I know others would like to mess around on pitbikes....

dont they have autocrossing in a parking lot? I seem to remember looking out off the top of the Concord side grandstand (between T1 and 2) in Sept-ish and seeing the pavement all rubbered up like an autocross track. Why wouldnt they let you just set up some cones and rip around? Liability and all, i guess...
however it would be blast![]()

I know this was all posted more than a year ago but I am trying to do the same thing to my XR100 with the xr80 front and I cant seem to find tires for the rims. If you remember, what were the model or size tires u used? Thanks
