Selling a winter project, I will leave it listed just here for a week before listing on CL to see if any forum members want it..

Pics pretty much speak for themselves, the following is a list of work done and new parts.
Full service including top end rebuild, valve adjustment, carb rebuild and Waterpump. I also did the 3x3 mod and jetted accordingly

New and aftermarket parts.
Water pump
Gold Chain. (New)
Battery (New)
Grips (New)
Graphics (New)
Top end gasket kit (New)
FMF slip on
K&N filter

I bought the bike as a non runner last summer from a guy who had done a couple of tours in Iraq. It had been in storage on a Florida base for about 6 years. The tank was rusted out and quite a few bits were broken (a lever, turn signal etc.) Everything has been replaced and the bike starts and runs well although I have not used it for any extended time.
It is very tidy with only 2843 miles on the clock.

I am looking for $1900, it will be listed higher on CL.

Nice bike, but I believe that is an "S" and not an "E". There are significant differences, particularly for an '01 (forks).

Thanks for the correction! Ad edited. It is indeed an S model, steel tank, fully street legal!

I also owned a 2000 model for several years. Great bikes! Great reliability, decent on and off road performance. I ended up selling mine and purchasing a DR650SE for more street bias. I do miss the DRZ, though. Even though the forks are not the later cartridge units, they still work pretty well for trail use.
