I have an offer in on a house and if all the bullshit goes my wayI'll be looking to sell off my DRZ. Its a 2001 DRZ400S street legal with about 8,200 miles (and climbing), elec start, clean title. I bought it back in February with about 7,000 miles on it from a NESR'er in Western Mass and have had zero issues with it since then. I've taken in the woods maybe 5 times for a total of 50 miles, most of the miles I've done have been street miles. Things I've had done:
New tires (Dunlop knobbies, not sure of the model # but will look if you really need to know)
New sprockets
New chain
Replaced steering head bearings.
Changed oil/filter three times
Its not in mint condition...... its a dirt bike. Small dent in the tank, scratches to pipe, a right rear directional held on by electrical tape, misc scratches to plastic. Comes with tail rack.
The bike runs great and is a ton of fun to ride! I believe everything is still stock but don't hold me to that. I bought it for $1800 and am asking $2100 for it locally if it doesn't sell here. I live a little north of Albany NY and am willing to help with delivery for gas $$.
It pains me to let this go but I'm bugging out about not having enough money for the closing costs of the house, and after buying it I found out I'm REALLY bad at riding in the dirt and don't have any good places close that are legal to ride so this is the bike to go. If the house buying doesn't work out (should know by Thursday) I'm holding on to the DRZ, putting road tires on it, and am going to ride all winter. Feel free to ask me any questions about the bike and I'll answer them, I'm trying to be as honest and upfront about the bike as possible. I'll take some pics tonight and will email them to you upon request. Be patient, no internet access at home and I've been super busy art work lately so it may take a day or two to get back to you.
