Well, the dealer is gonna stick it to me on this bike, so I'll offer it up here. Deal is, I bought this bike last month. It was bought as a first bike brand new outta the crate, I'm told, in 2004 by a guy that was scared of it from the start, he then got married, and his wife pestered him into consigning it to Manassas Honda/Kawi/Suzuki this spring. So in May, I come along, put a deposit on it, and had em do some stuff to it:
Full 7500 mile service. The carbs, valves, oil, new plugs, bulbs for the high and low beam, the works.
New Dunlop RoadSmarts front and rear.
Russell stainless braided front/rear brake and clutch lines.
New EBC kevlar brake pads in the front calipers.
Givi rear trunk rack to extend the tail to carry stuff. Bought the trunk itself, the light kit and the backrest, but I'm gonna use that for the Concours14 I'm buying end of next week. The rack stays on the bike.
Stuff the first owner did:
Zero gravity (taller) windshield (I have the stocker).
Gold chain, I assume D.I.D., it's brand new.
Leather tank protector
Suzuki whole-bike cover.
Charger.
Service manual.
Ok, ok, so I was a moron. Out the door, the bike cost me $4000 after taxes and the rest with 3300 miles on it. I know that's a thousand or more over book, but this thing is truly a brand new bike. But THEN I dumped $1600 into the tires and service and stuff, dunno how much for the mounting rack for the trunk, and bought a blue Shoei full face TZ-1000 and a blue HJC full face for passengers, chicks, a smaller hat. Both of THOSE were brand new. Also bought a Joe Rocket mesh with armor and rain liner. Also some blue Joe Rocket gloves. All new. It ALL goes with the bike since Blue doesn't go so hot with a Red or Black Connie.
So, the moron part comes into play in that I didn't REALLY ride the bike until all this was done (more money than brains, but I was positive this was the bike for me). But it ain't. I gotta bad wrist and every adjustment I could try was tried including a taller handlebar but the wrist just doesn't take it. But the Connie 14 causes no pain. Sales guy let me take his consignment 2008 out for a good long spin, and no probs. So I'm getting me a new one. And, predictably, they're giving me peanuts for the Bandito. By working the numbers, discounts, trade, yada-yada, the best they'll do is a $4200.00 knock off the price of my Connie.
I was gonna write em a straight check for the Connie and pay all expenses for someone up there to fly down and ride the Bandit up for me when I bring the Connie up, but I think I'm gonna cut my losses. Nonetheless, in spite of the blue book of a 2002, this bike is in a rare condition and a far better bike than when it was new IF it fits you.
So, if anyone's interested, and will come down to get it (and we can ride both bikes back at the same time if ya want) I'll drop this puppy in their mitts for $4,000.00 even. I'd rather drop it on someone at NESR than hand it over to MHKS in trade, but as I said, I gotta cut my losses. Got all the receipts, the bike just clicked over to 4000 miles, and it truly is a gem if ya want a substantially upgraded sport-tourer and mean to ride the wheels off it. It's a great bike, but it simply doesn't fit me. I'll take more pics if anyone wants em and email em to ya, but these two pretty much tell the tale:

Wierd question, but do you happen to know a lady named Joyce who works at Napa Valley Grille in Providence?
No, I'm in Northern Virgina. Moving to the North Shore. Does Joyce wanna buy a bike? It's an easy bike to ride if you ain't an old fuckah with a bum wrist..
I envision this as a good bike for GixxerGrrrl. This is a hooligan's bike, and fer sure, she's a hooligan. She might like a Bandito 1200. Her boyfriend oughtta pony up for her birthday, no? Who's with me?
Is Joyce hot?
I'm not. But if she's single and in Providence, she might not care!
Sorry. It's my inner asshole at work.![]()
Paging Tricky Mike, This one is perfect for you.
Does it have a Scotoiler?

I have a scottoiler I'll contribute to this if mike grabs it!
Oh...Googled it. No, the only automatic oiling takes place is a couple the dealer did. I ain't ridden it enough to dirty it since I got it back last week..
Do you have any pictures of it?
Sorry, the reason I asked is because a relative of hers is selling the same bike, mileage, etc... I thought it was a smaller world than it is.
