Okay, I am being deployed earlier than I had thought so I must sell the toys. (Wife says I get a new bike upon return) so I'm selling the VFR. Bad time of year but maybe I'll get lucky. It has a clean title, 11500 miles. Throttlemiester bar ends, fresh oil and filter and a tank bra. I am the third owner and bought it in Aug 09 with 6500 miles on it. Runs great. Took it to Canada and back in 11 hours so it's pretty comfy yet still handles really well. I currently have the exhaust getting gutted and the heat shields are getting powdercoated. This is to better enhance the V4 sound (the gutting, not the powdercoating).
Looking for $4100. Bike is in my garage all the time when not being ridden. Call with questions. I live on Hanscom AFB, ma

Ha, nice catch. Your the first person to notice it.That's the first thing I noticed when I bought it but I got it in New York and had to ride it home so I tip toed the first 50 miles. I was debating turning it around but during the 200 mile ride home I didn't feel anything strang and since I mostly commute (no track days here) I figured I'd just let it go until it was time to replace it. What was more scary is when I bought it the PO was only running 20lbs in the front and rear tire!!!!!! He was bragging about how there were no chicken strips on it. I figured that out 1 mile down the road at the gas station. Anyway.......
Who wants to by my bike! I'll even throw in some sweet chrome dice valve caps!!

okay maybe not self distruct but directional tires are useless when going in the wrong direction..
I just did a google and AMA direct saysFuck it, run it hard lets find out.Originally Posted by http://www.amadirectlink.com/roadride/Riderresc/tires.asp
Rather than not displacing water, it will force water into the center of the tire rather than forcing it away. Sweet lets take the contact patch and add a bunch of water to it. Enjoy the ride...errr slide.Originally Posted by GixerJockey

Wow. I have never had anyone I never met before feel so strongly about my safety in a situation I am nearly never in. When it rains, I don't ride. Thank you for your very adamant points on moto tire directional safety.
Plain and simple, if you don't want to buy the bike that is fine! Odds are pretty good the buyer will want new tires soon anyway as stated in my post they are getting low on tread. I'm not riding it right now. In fact, I haven't seen a moto on the road for almost two months now so I don't think the direction of the tire is going to matter at the moment.
If you don't want to buy my bike that is fine too but your first post about tire direction got the point across.

Attachment 18503 Not the reverse tire syndrome!!!!
If you take the tire off and bring it to me I will flip it around for ya. Take about 10 minutes. Not a big deal. Be good to see ya again!
We surely don't want you sliding in the back of some one when all wet.....Well unless it is sliding in the back of Attachment 18504
I wasnt being a dick to you, and here is a free bump to the top of the page.
SOMEONE BUY THIS MANS BIKE!!
Good luck in the sale good sir, hopefully another bike is in your future.
