Looking to sell my 2002 4runner. I love this truck but it is starting to have some high mileage issues and with my commute a small sedan makes more sense. I also no longer have a garage to do my own work in anymore. I am the second owner and have had it since ~2011, put ~100k on it, and have all the paperwork for everything done to it since new and parts receipts for most work I did myself. If you have the time and space to do the work it needs yourself this could be a great woods, work, or play truck for you!
Mileage:
~247k I am still driving the truck, so this will change.
Goods:
-It's a Toyota
-It's a 4runner
-Interior is Good, driver seat worn through on door side though
-Radiator replaced at around ~200k
-replacement was due to the "pink milkshake", transmission survived for a bit longer.
-Transmission rebuilt at about ~216k
-separate cooler added
-we flushed it a lot after the pink milkshake but damage was done
-I have the paperwork from this
-Both front LBJs, inner and outer tierods, and sway bar mounts + links replaced by me last summer.
-Pads and rotors newish
-Tires have maybe 30k on them
-new u-joint in rear driveshaft last month
-The original shaft's cardan joint went so I got a junkyard shaft, replaced the u-joint and it's been fine since.
-Comes with thule roof rack and OEM running boards
Bummers:
Due for timing belt/waterpump sooner then later.
-both done when I got the truck at 140k
small drip leak in PS line near rack
-Leak in PS steering line near front of the truck, it'll drain the PS reservoir in~1-2 days ( This just started yesterday/today...) I've refilled it.
Vibration in steering when braking from over 60 that isn't due to the brake pads/rotors as far as I can figure out
Rear differential housing has a pinhole leak
-this happened maybe 2 years ago, I drained the differential, sanded the whole thing down to
bare metal and plugged the leaks/coated the differential rear with JB weld before primering and undercoating the differential. It's held up till now but it's starting to leak again. You can either do what I did again or swap the whole rear diff housing.
Very small exhaust leak near 1st cat but I've passed 3 inspections with it
Throws a rear O2 sensor bad code once, maybe twice a year. I reset the codes and it doesn't happen again for months usually. This could be the sensor, the above mentioned leak, or a ground wire issue somewhere too.
-rear window hasn't worked in ages, but does sometimes surprise you.
Various nicks, dings and rust spots but overall it's good for a NE truck.
I am probably forgetting something but feel free to ask questions!
I'm not sure what to ask but I feel like $1000NESR price is fair? If it's not let me know...

-Power steering leak got worse so it legitimately loses fluid now, will drain the reservoir in 1-2 days...

anyone interested? Craigslist is killing me, I had a guy come and waste an hour "looking" at the truck and complaining about every problem listed/pointed out in the ad
