***SOLD***It will pain me to do this, but I need to free up some cash for another project and I have a little bit of bike ADD...
I have a 2007 Aprilia SXV550 with ~2600 miles on it. Still on the stock tires (with plenty of life left). YES, the engine has been resealed and has NO issues. The only modification to the bike is an EvoTech LED taillight/tail tidy and I have the stock tail light assembly also.
This thing runs flawlessly. It has been derestricted by Seacoast Sport Cycle, otherwise bone stock. As is, this is by far the most insane bike I have ever ridden, it doesn’t fail to put a smile on my face every time I ride it.
It has been regularly maintained by me with oil changes every 500 miles and will be receiving another one in the next few weeks. I checked the valves early this spring and everything was right where it should be.
I am looking for $4900 cash or will consider $3000 cash plus interesting trades of more commuter friendly dual sports, big bore supermotos, or other interesting bikes. DRZs need not apply, had a few already and Ive been tainted by the power of the SXV now...
Bike is located in Southern NH and has a clear NH title. Pictures can do the rest...

Why is this bike not commuter friendly? What type of SM were you looking to get for under $2k?
Its just a bit high strung for day to day, mundane riding back and forth to work for me. It wants to be ridden hard and I dont have the time to get out and use it right now. As far as I am concerned its a full on race bike with mirrors and turn signals, it makes a great toy or race bike but not a day to day bike for me. Ive enjoyed it for what its meant to do, but now its time to move onto something else.
I dont have high expectations for a trade at that $ level, but thought Id throw it out there. Maybe an older XR or similar. Honestly, Id rather just have the cash, but thought it might help someone make a deal.
I will trade you a 1989 Honda Transalp xl600v:
Givi Crashbars
Krauser Hard Bags
55mpg
As interesting as it is (Im strangely drawn to small displacement v twins I guess) I think I will pass. Thanks for the offer though, its a cool bike.
Bump and an edit to the mileage... Got it wrong, it has 2600 miles on it. Still has plenty of life left in it, just a few more oil changes under its belt.
Bump, getting ready to put it away for the winter...
