When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

I think that instead of trailering it to a new owners place you should trailer it early every Sunday morning out into the countryside and stretch its legs. Remember why you bought that most beautuful motorcycle in the first place.
that's fine for once in a while but i need a bike that's better suited for where i live, and every day type of riding. i love the bike, i dreamed about her for a long time, and it wasn't an easy decision to make to sell

I have an RC8 for my street bike, had a 1098 before that. They are night and day different and the KTM behaves much better on the street, is more comfortable, and puts out a lot less heat. I'm not sure how it would compare to an 1199, probably the same. I'm very happy with my RC8, great bikes.

They really ride nice. I have 3 friends who have them and not one dislikes it. One who has various ducs and bimota said it really is like riding a duc with less of an edge.

Just filling in the blanks, seeing as that's what he was alluding to in his earlier post. I've got enough cliche's to fill an Italian Cliche Swear Box.
I could go on... it started with a major recall at product launch. I've also met more than one person racing them who have had to replace $600+ electronic bits (TPS's, control modules and the like), some... multiple times. The cooling system has issues as R7 had learned, but so have others.
Wonder when it stops being a cliche? It's a shame, I loved my RSVR's and really really wanted an RSV4. Hopefully when they do a major update, some things will get better. Pretty much any gen-1 bike is going to have issues like this, even with all this technology we have these days.
Perhaps the best quote was from a guy at VIR w/ a track-only RSV4, I asked him what he thought about it and he replied: "I love it when it runs right..."
