I have owned this bike since new, it has had it's recommended services performed at Seacoast Sport Cycle Ducati, they also repaired the bike from a low side as a street bike, after which I retained the bike and converted it for track only use. The damage sustained to the bike was limited to rashed OEM bodywork, bent foot peg mounting tabs (yes bent, not broken, it was a light low side), and a 1/4" nick in the swing arm, these two factors (bent frame tabs and nicked swing arm) resulted in the total loss of the bike. It has not been laid down since, and is incredibly dialed in, whomever has ridden the bike has raved about how easy it is to ride (Just ask the fellows here on NESR who've ridden it, it speaks for itself). The only cosmetic blemishes are on the lower belly pan which was ground through due to lack of ground clearance (and because well, I'm just that incredibly fat (edited preemptively, GFY Denno / Tull).
Unfortunately the time has come to sell the toys and get on the right side of finances. My loss is your gain, whomever ends up with this bike will not be disappointed.
I already have that sick feeling in my stomach.
Here's some pics:

Say it ain't so!!!!!!!!!!!
A solid machine, indeed.
what happened to all this "new paint job" talk?
GL with sale... hopefully the other toys sell and u can keep this one.
We'll see where things go, right now all I know is it would make my life a helluva lot less stressful to ditch some serious debt over the winter.
I can always build another one... but sometimes you can't escape reality no matter how much you'd like to pretend it'll just go away.
Then again, once I take care of things, there's always the next bike too.
So I guess you'll be known as "scottiekawasaki" from now on?
Do you like yellow?
Seriously awesome bike. I love that 848.
Hopefully that Kaw will show you another side to riding....that being to simply change oil and ride with major services every 14,000+ miles. I can't think of any Italian bike which offers that.Originally Posted by scottiekawasaki
BTW; you HAVE to check out this FZ1 sometime.....![]()
Pssst... modern ducs are just like that, you can check the valves every 6k if you want... but typically they don't move after the first valve check unless you BEAT the bike, and I mean off the limiter 24x7. That puts your mandatory, other than periodic oil changes services at 12k, new belts. Check your valves at the same time, bike will be happy.
wow never thought this would happen!
degsy pipe looks bad ass!
