*** UPDATED 2002 Year *** Suzuki SV 650, Clean Title, Hindle Exhaust, Sharkskinz bodywork, GP Tech Front Fairing bracket, Woodcraft Rearsets with Pedals, Steel Braided Front Brake Lines
Bike is stock and has been raced. Was crashed by its previous owner and I bought it to have to beat around on track days..but now I have waaaayy too many projects. It must go.
Needs a little bodywork and paint, Stock Suspension. With a little work this would make a good trackday or Race bike.

do you have the hardware to put the fairings back on?
Just to clarify, it does need suspension?
What else will it need to run at the track?

Mike, It doesn't need any suspension changes, but the stock suspension on an SV650 sucks hard. Many amateur racers rock stock SV's, so it isn't too bad. If you want, text me later or contact me. SV650's make excellent track bikes, especially at louden where it's curvy.
I have all the hardware. When I got the bike the bodywork was on it. It doesnt "need" suspension... I was just stating that it is stock and not aftermarket or reworked. Most TrackDay Riders and New Racers start on Stock Suspension (shocks and forks) and then later upgrade when they feel its necessary.
The bike needs to be gone thru, oil and filter, brake fluid flush, basic prep for the new racing season.
If you are willing to do a lil TLC with the body etc... this will be a nice track bike.
any pictures before the body work was taken off?
Any maintenance done on the engine at all? If so what?
No pics before..
I dont have any history on the bike.. the kid I got it from said he raced it and changed the oil after every other weekend.
I got it home started it up and there she sits....awaiting a new owner (with cash)
do you believe the valves need to be adjusted at all? hows it idle?
those rarely need adjusting. i played musical shims with mine 2 years ago..that was about it. may have had to buy 2. these things are pretty indestructable..and the carburated ones are the fast ones
$1800 is a steal.
looks like its a naked model
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

damn...this bike is harder and harder to pass up right now. I really wish I could pull the trigger, but I'll know more in April. Good luck with the sale...if you still have it in a month or so (can't imagine you would), I may take it off your hands
