I am wondering if anyone knows about Adesa? I have a dealer auctioning off my car at Adesa auction on WEdnesday and he charged me a fee for it. Is that normal? Also how much money one gets at those auctions?
Mine was a 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo. 60K miles

They usually charge you a premium and the buyer also pays one. The seller is usually 10 -15 % and the buyer pays 3 - 8%. Thats how they make their money. All I know about Adesa is they sell a shit ton of vehicles.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
I had a problem with a car which I did not know off since it was running well.... That scared me a bit considering the lemon law. Fixing it would be a pain and hence I went for this option
I think I am paying a lot - dealer charged me $400 fee![]()

I think Adesa chrges a dealer 35.00 for a running the car and a selling fee of about 220 on a car for 2-3 grand. $400 doesnt sound like he is making alot.
400 is a little high but is within reason if hes transporting it and such. technically they can charge whatever they want. each dealer has their own fee structure. id expect it to sell for 1-2g tops. i see a lot of those go threw their. is your problem noticable? cars have to make it threw the lanes at adessa under their own power and if its running poorly people may notice and take away from your bottom line. if im their wednesday ill keep my eye out for it.
He is transporting and such. I had got the car from this dealer only. He seemed like a nice guy and I tend to trust people. I think I got a decent deal since he is transporting it and I won't be there for the auction. I was just confirming. He will also be sending me the sale deed or the papers from auction along with the check. I hope I get 2.5 G's. Its a great car with only 60K and had a new alternator on it. I kept it clean and such. No dents/ body rusting or anything. I was short on time.
I would still have the car without getting anything else done (had a recent oil change) if I was not going back. The car would run great if maintained - tire rotation, engine oil change, fluid top off etc. I might just bleed the brakes though - a small thing I guess - Just that I noticed its turning dark.

I work there and no it doesn't seem like he's ripping you off at all and on price nerijusj is in the ball park maybe a little low. The seller pays a $45 run fee plus a percentage of the final sale. As for lemon laws unless it has unannounced frame damage, a mile discrepancy or a cracked engine block its good. If it has any of these problems as long as they are announced through the auction no comebacks. If the cars as good as you say with that mileage you may get more all depending on who's there. Best thing about the Wednesday sale is it is a GM sale. Doesn't sound like you're getting ripped off at all.

it doesnt have to be their already but very well could be. ive brung them in the same day i run them. it is easier if they are already their especially if they have multiple cars their which im betting they do.
