Bought this helmet about a month ago and the fit isn't right for me. I'm a long oval and I thought I might be able to make an intermediate oval fit, and I was wrong. After about 45 minutes my forehead is hurting.
It's matte black with the Transitions shield and MIPS. Really light (for a DS helmet), really quiet (for a DS helmet), great fit and finish.
Couple things not so great about it:
- Revzilla shipped it to me in a Bell box, but without a bag over the helmet, so the helmet rubbed against the cardboard and has a bunch of very faint scratches on it. I should have sent it back, but I didn't really care and was excited about the new lid.
- Even though I just bought it, it has a 2018 date code. I really should have returned it when I saw this, but again, was excited for new gear.
- These two things might be indicators that someone else bought it and returned it...I'm not sure.
I paid just under $300 shipped, they've since lowered the price on it, and in full disclosure, they also have it on closeout for even less (but only in white XL). I'd like to get $150 for it, otherwise I'll hang onto it as a backup.
