If anyone goes for it, there are TONS of FZR parts and knowledge on the Yahoo FZR400 list. That'd be pretty straight forward to turn back into a street or track machine.

Not necessarily over your head if you're patient, willing to take it slow and do a lot of reading. If you struggle putting together Ikea furniture though I'd keep looking...
My brother is hopefully wrapping up his FZR400 project shortly and should be a hoot.
FZR400 with an FZR600 motor, full teardown, bumped to 660cc, undercut gears, bunch of custom one-off parts etc. Thing is going to be sick

660s tempt me so... there has been talk of going all the way into the 700s with that setup...
