WANTED: DESTROYED shoei helmet

hi,
i'm doing somethign sort of artistic with a broken helmet. i need a Shoei RF-900 that's broken or destroyed - except the liner. the liner should be in pretty good condition. i'm sure someone has a crappy/destroyed shoei (preferably rf-900 or rf-1000). thanks.

mainly just looking for the liner? i heard that the rf-1000 has a removable liner. does anyone know if there is any where you can just buy the removed liner?

Not liner, cheek pads and chin straps.

Might want to call a helmet maker, state your case and see if they can work with you on something.



IMHO, if any rider has kept their crashed helmet there's likely a good reason for it and I doubt that the rider will part with said helmet.

Going on 8 years I've kept the same HJC that saved my ass and it would take something very significant for me to part with it....and even then I may not. I save it as a reminder to never ride two times my comfort limit like I did that day. And I'm glad to still be here to tell you this.

i was thinking of a auto upholstery place or a custom tailor. but i have a feeling that they would charge me so much i should just buy a new helmet. are there specific helmet makers out there, besides contacting shoei in japan

the Shoei XSP and X11 have removeable liners. i might have one..ill have to look though
