I'm trading this truck in but I thought I'd offer it up here first.

$18,000 obo to a NESR member. Straight up, here's the scoop: I've dumped a lot of money ($6,000) into repairs into this truck in the past two years so I'm buying a new Tundra. The truck currently runs excellent and it looks great. I have more photos on Picassa if you want to see them. If I average the Galves, NADA, and KBB trade in value I come up with just over $18,100.

I had 3 of the 6.0L diesel Fords, they really got a bad rep because of the early ones but were pretty well sorted out by 2004.
Always started in the cold, had gobs of power, and got reasonable fuel mileage.
This rig looks like a good deal, if I were in the market I'd be over test driving it.![]()

If you trade the truck in, would you want to sell the plow? Just looking for the blade/headgear, no brackets or wiring.
The plow is an 8 1/2' Fisher Minute Mount 1 with a snow foil on it. I'd sell it for $1500 at this time of year. I'd include the pushplates and wiring if you want them because I'm expecting to pull it all off before I trade the truck in anyway. I bought the plow used 2 years ago from Iroquois (a local Fisher dealer and truck body shop). They had gone through it completely mechanically. I tore it apart, had the frame sandblasted and painted that, and wirewheeled the blade and painted that. Not a pro job, but it looks a whole lot better than when I got it. There are a few wear spots where the paint has worn off but generally it still looks good. I can take some photos tomorrow if you'd like. I paid $3,100 for the plow and installation on the truck.

So when are you getting the Tundra? Maybe we can get 2?![]()

I may be signing the deal as soon as today. I ran the "final" numbers last night and they look realistic. I'd like to take advantage of the incentives that run out on April 5th.
I'm finding that Tundra's with tow mirrors are hard to come by and have a tendency to disappear. I lost out on one in Glens Falls yesterday. The other nearest one I can find is in Oneida, NY.

The suspense is over. I'm getting a Tundra. I'll be trading in the whole mess (truck, plow, etc).
After a whole lot of calls and internet research I've got to say I was most impressed with the USAA new car buying service. They were able to secure me $200 less than invoice price at two dealers. Both dealers were over 100 miles away and not excited about negotiating on a trade in over that distance. Getting those prices from the dealers gave me a bunch of leverage with the local dealers. Another thumbs up to USAA!
