For Sale
1998 KTM 250 EXC NH Street Plated and Titled, $800/BRO
This bike is in great shape overall. Ridden by my then 17 year old son.

- FMF Quiet Q2 Pipe
- Brand New Top End with 1 hour it. Fully resleeved at Millenium technologies.
- Oversized Acerbis 3 gallon Black Fuel Tank

- Sprung and Valved for 185 lb rider
- Street Plated in NH, NH Title as well
- Pirelli MT16 in rear 60% left
- Extra Front Rim and Rotor
- New last year rear fender with Acerbis LED fender, also New Headlight
- Newer Brake pads, only 20 hours on the pads
- All KTM original Owners Manuals
- Additional KTM 250/300/380 Mechanics Manual in 3 ring binder
- Anything that has been removed from this bike has been kept in a box with all other OEM parts taken off the bike.
Now for the rest.
Sent Motor to Freedom Cycle to have a diagnostic done on engine due to transmission fluid being pulled in (this was after the Cylinder re-sleeve and top end being redone, only one hour on the top end). Main Crank Bearings need to be replaced, as well as seals (I have a partial seal kit left with most of the bottom end seals) and the crank needs to be sent to Crank Works for a touch up. $200 shipped was the quote from Crank Works that I received. Motor is dissembled and in a box with all sections of the motor separated. The motor is NOT a jumbled mess in a box.
In the meantime, I bought a wr250 for my son that he is absolutely ripping on, and he is done with the KTM (Maybe it’s the e-start, I don’t know). Before this issue, we always fixed whatever needed to be fixed on the bike. I am pretty anal about my bikes.
If you are mechanically inclined and want a great project bike for cheap money, this is it. The Millenium Technologies re-sleeving, new top end and the new expansion pipe/exhaust are almost as much as the cost I am selling the bike for. You can fix and sell this bike with the plate and title for $1500 all day long. Super smooth, great woods bike, even though it’s a 98. Any questions, please ask.
PM me with questions, Pics available on request. I want to move the bike out, but I am not in a hurry to give it away. I’m in Nashua, NH.
hmmm take a couple pictures if you can...
who took the motor apart, you or Freedom cycles?

For $800? Why wouldn't someone buy this? Besides not riding dirt.
I know, rite?
in socal, people make a living buying bikes like these and re-selling...I'm actually buying a family package today (4 bikes, 1 quad, trailer) because a dude is getting married and his future wife is a bitch...then selling it all off individually...probably going to make a couple G when it's all done (told him about it, and he doesn't care...he just needs it all gone), and get the perk of riding each of the bikes for a couple months

Freedom Cycle did, beyond my depth to crack into the bottom end. I also paid someone to do the top end as well. I can post some pics when I get home.
Each part of the motor is sectioned off in a box, I'll take a picture to show you. That's is why I have the original manuals and also the mechanics manual to give you. They wanted me to buy a new OEM crank, which is insanely expensive, that's why I would send it to Crank Works. If I could rebuild a motor myself, that would be the cheapest way. For them to rebuild and button it up, probably 4-500, not including parts. That's why I said no thanks. You could probably get a used crank off eBay for less than Crank Works as well. I'll PM the pics tonight after I get back from riding.

Because this is titled in NH, can it be titled in MA too?
Sorry, don't know how things work in this here Peoples' Republik.
In NH, anything over 15 years old does not require titling. I have the title from the previous owner. I am not sure what the letter if the law is in Mass. I will check the Title when I get home, but it does not say off-road use only. You will have to check with Mass to figure out their requirements for titling and plating.
Here is the deal, If it is an 'open' title ie: just signed by the seller and not signed over to you.. it can be used in MA with a BOS from 'him' selling it. If it is signed over to you as the buyer, unless you get it re-titled in your name, it's nothing but wall art to the Peoples Rebulik of Massholeachusetts. Unless you had a previous registration in YOUR name. Then it can be sold and registered in MA.
Thanks guys. Is this too much bike for a dirty beginner?
I have the title, and it has been signed over to me by the seller (My name is on the back). I have that title, I have the original BOS that the guy I bought it from gave me, plus I have last years registration from the State of NH. I will give the buyer a new BOS as well, and they can take both of those BOS to the State of their choosing.
Still Available. Bump.
Sold a long time ago.
