2001 KTM 520SX.
130 hours. Starts first kick, great compression test results. Runs excellently.
Many parts. Acerbis handguards, chain and sprockets replaced last year.
- Suspension completely rebuilt by Mike M. @ GMD Computrack last year.
- Cam wheel was updated with a new 2003 spec part (auto-decompression bolt had the possiblity of coming off, new wheel is formed in place).
- Replaced cam bearings while doing the above.
- Valves have not moved a single thousandth of an inch.
- Fork & Heim Joint Gaiters
- Hour meter installed
- Trailtech Kickstand
- Front and Rear wheel bearings replaced last year.
Bike needs nothing but a rider and some open trails. Email me with any questions. Willing to trade for a similar year KLR 650.
2000$ otherwise. Firm on that price.

Yea, I'm a lummox...
Moving out to Montana in just over a month. I'm out here now (been here since Jan 17th) and my wife and I just signed a lease and got her stuff moved into the place yesterday. Sadly, not many race tracks around here, but there are more miles of dirt roads than paved roads. Twisties through Yellowstone, the Tetons, and chasing rabbits under the shadows of the mountains.
Since I switched jobs back in June, I haven't had damn near any time to check forums too often, and for that, I'm sorry. I'm a wanker.
I will be back though, often. My 'rents and company I'm based with are still on the east coast, so I'll be back for extended meetings, holidays, and the International Motorcycle Show. When things settle down a bit, I'll be sure to post up some ride adventures, as I know there will be some interesting stories to tell in this vast expanse of land...
Culling the rest of the herd, and coming back on Feb 26th to pack up the rest of my junk into a Uhaul, and making the big drive out West on April 1st.

really nice out there Alex. What part are you in? I have a very good friend from Scobey.

Hey Mark! How are things?
Scobey? Thats way up in the north-eastern corner of the state. I'm in Bozeman, which is about 4-500 miles away on the Western end of the state.
The eastern end is great, big and expansive, while the Western end is a little more mountainous.

Ha. if I recall correctly, his wife is from Bozeman. They are living in Havre now, he is some form of Ranger. Beautiful country, thats for sure. I've been out to see him twice. Actually, we made the drive from Missoula to Scobey at the end of December with a broken passenger window in the car. Wouldn't recommend that.

So Montana is where you disappeared to...........How's things? You ever get your 510 back together?
Good luck out there, hope to catch up with you when you are in the area.

Alex D, I'm still doing computer stuff. I telecommute in my new job however, so my office travels with me in my backpack. I work wherever I want to really. Hows the ducati/ca job treating you?
Joel, Husky is still a basket case. Between putting the Duc's back together, fixing up a BMW that sat for awhile and getting ready for the move, she's still wounded. Zsolt (I believe you met him racing) has plans to put it all back together though, and if anyone can do it, its him.

Alex,
Did Zsolt buy the bike off of you or is he getting it back together for you? What parts do you still need to get it back together? I don't know if you know about mine blowing up at the end of 07, I wound up getting new cases, new rod, new valves, new piston etc. it was a damn expensive repair.
