My girlfriend got me this not knowing that I already have P90X. She paid about $300 including Tax and S&H directly from Beach Body. It's pretty much everything you need to get started. Brand new in the boxes it came in. Didnt even bother to open them.

I have a friend who has done it, and he's done it.....very seriously. He is toned, but more on the anorexic side of toned. Almost sickly looking.

So I would say if you want to lose weight go for it. If you want to build muscle mass go to the gym and do a real workout.

I went through P90x and I am about to start p90x plus. It really works.

Here are the numbers I cared about:
Pushups before: 30 after: 50+
Pullups before: 8 after 14

I gained a ton of muscle definition/bulk without gaining more than 5 lbs. If you really want to get in shape, this will work. But you must follow the nutrition guide as well. You will get nowhere if you keep eating crap.

I have tried a lot of workout things over the years(ab-shocker(the thing that would zap your abs while you sat and watched TV), x-minutes abs, 300-workout, old fashioned hundreds of crunches, bikrum yoga, normal yoga, running, walking right when you wake up before you eat, etc.....) and this one wins hands-down.

I was very skeptical from my past experiences, but this workout will push you hard and wear you out. The key is to NEVER deviate from the routine(except for injury). Do NOT take a day off when not instructed to and in 90 days you will have transformed yourself into something amazing.

Also, take pictures and measurements every week to track progress and read all the guides before you start.

In case anyone is wondering, p90x plus looks way harder. I plan to start it this week and see how ti goes.
