Up for sale is my 2005 Saab 92x. For those who are unaware, the Saab 92x is basically a Subaru WRX wagon with Saab badges and minor tweaks from the factory. You can read more about it here. I bought this car in May 2009 with 62,000 on the odometer. In addition to a bunch of road trips to New York, in my first year of ownership, I was commuting to grad school a few times a week, and then my work commute the last two years have been a decent trek.
Car hasn't given me any trouble and maintenance is up-to-date. Timing belt (and all associated/suggested services) done last year at Wicked Innovation in Rhode Island. I have receipts for most of the major work - I did my own oil changes regularly.
In the interest of full-disclosure, I was in an accident in September 2011 that required replacing the hood, front bumper, passenger side headlight, and radiator. No frame damage. While they were at it, I had them debadge the hood - I was never fond of the Saab emblem on the hood anyway.
In a "you've got to be kidding me" moment, someone backed into my driver's side door a month after I got the car back from the shop. While I could have just drove around with a small dent in the door, it bothered me, so I got the dent repaired.
I've put a bunch of pictures here, but if there's anything specific you'd like to see or if there's something I've missed in this ad, please let me know. I try to be upfront and honest about everything I sell.
I live in Hopkinton, MA and work in Newton, MA (M-F, 9a-5p) and would be willing to arrange a viewing near either location (or along my commute depending on day and time).
I will include the complete service manual, either on CD-ROM or a USB flashdrive (that you provide).
Feel free to PM or email (hqp921[at]gmail.com) - if emailing, please reference "Saab 92x" and forum in subject line.
The vehicle is on lien with the AllCom Credit Union in Worcester, MA.
The bad:
Could use an alignment - since I'm not really driving it, will leave it to the next owner so they can do it for whatever wheel set up they decide.
Rear driver side strut clunking - not sure if worn or D-Spec clunk
Small dings/scratches typical of a car of this year
Plastidip console has a small tear - I'll either fix before I sell or throw in a can of Plastidip
ETA (9/12/2012): Took it to a mechanic this morning to see if we could diagnose what I thought was bad wheel bearings. Turns out, it's an alignment issues, and the noise I was hearing was actually road noise coming from the tires that are wearing funky. He also checked the suspension while he was at it, and said everything's good and tight, but could use new sway bar bushings front and rear.
ETA (10/9/2012): Swapped over to the OEM wheels (will be selling with just this set of rims) with snows and the noise is gone. Tires on other rims were indeed worn unevenly! Also removed from car: Headunit (OEM 6 disc in its place), ScanGaugeII and Hella Supertones.

Love it...two months late, or I would have had a buyer... Unique car!

Feel free to PM me any questions.

I bet the clunking is an issue with the D-Specs.
I would love to have this as a daily driver!
It bothered me at first, but then I just got used to it, turned up my music and called it a day.
It's nice, for sure... just with the amount of miles I drive daily and my insurance rates (I also have multiple vehicles...), I want to downsize to just a car and a bike and get something with better MPG's. I could get around 300 miles/tank and that's with "having fun" every morning getting on the highway (when I could, anyway...).I would love to have this as a daily driver!
If it wasn't just a statement and you're somewhat serious about "having this as a daily driver," shoot me a PM.

GLWS
Having just picked up a 92x earlier this year (granted, not the Aero), I will give anyone interested a big(and this is coming from a girl who likes neither Saabs nor Subarus)
Not to mention, it appears well modded![]()

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
Thanks! This thing is probably 5% Saab... to me it's a Subaru with a front end that doesn't make Baby Jesus cry. Unless you like the Subaru styling for some reason!
Power and reliability of a Subaru, and the front end of a Saab.
Wanna go really crazy? Buy this and swap in the entire STI 2.5L and drivetrain and have yourself a grand old time! That not your thing? Pick up a used STI Turbo, injectors and fuel pump and get more power instantly! OR just keep it as is! It's still plenty powerful! Anything the WRX folks can do in terms of power and handling, you can do. You just can't get lips, wings, and exterior mods... but then, if you want to look like a boy racer, go buy a WRX.

OP updated.
Took it to a mechanic this morning to see if we could diagnose what I thought was bad wheel bearings. He also checked the suspension while he was at it, and said everything's good and tight, but could use new sway bar bushings front and rear.
If you want, I'll provide the name and number of the mechanic I took it to -- turns out his friend races a WRX, so we chatted briefly about it.

Bump with a price drop.
I can sell with just one set of wheels and negotiate a price.
I may start reverting some of the stuff back to stock soon [Kartboy Shortshifter, guages, wheels, remove ScanGuage, etc.], if I don't get offers/interest and drop the price accordingly.

Bump.

Price dropped -- see OP.
I have:
- Removed the aftermarket HU and put in an OEM in-dash 6-CD changer
- Removed the Hella Supertones (they're already on my new boring daily - might as well do something interesting)
-Removed the ScanGauge (I actually have 3 clock pods for you to play with!)
- Swapped over the winter wheels (I've decided to keep the other set). Swapping over the wheels got rid of that road noise, and I can confirm the summer wheels that were on there wore unevenly and caused the road noise!
Also just did an oil change and changed the air filter while I was at it:
May take new pictures, but just envision the photos I already posted earlier with the winter set up, and an OEM HU instead.
