I'm interested.
Is this the same device that everyone is complaining about dumping data and not working lately?

I don't think so. I think they are complaining about the 1000 model. The 6000 gives you a lot more feedback as to how it is actually working.
I bought one refirb'ed through an "authorized dealer" on the fleabay or amazon or something couple years ago. Mine didn't work for poop. The start button would not work. Frustrating as can be when you're on grid trying to get the thing to 'go' and it won't. I wound up having to send mine back to Taiwan for diag and replacement. The "dealer" was no help at all. But QStarz stood behind the device. I got a replacement that has worked great. I've crashed mine 3 times just this year. Once it got chucked down the hill behind 9.
I have a 6000. That's the one I chucked through T12.. and 1.. and 9.
