OK, I've thought long and hard about this.
One Tony's Track Day certificate for sale. $100.00
This is a promotional certificate Tony is giving to racers at LRRS events. It is good for one track day.
I thought about giving it away, but I don't want someone just grabbing it because it's free and never using it. I want someone to use it! I will absolutely put all the money paid for this into a "charity" of my choice. I haven't decided if it should go to the air fence fund (Roadracingworld) or the Karen Hornbecker fund (an injured racer fund through LRRS).
There are rules to this certificate, however.
The buyer of this certificate must not be a licensed racer, and must not have ever attended a Tony's Track Day before. (It does not say you can't have attended someone elses trackday, though). It is valid for the 2010 season only at the New Hampshire events. You must mail this to Tony NO LESS than thirty days before the event date you want to use it at.
If you have been wanting to get on the track, and it was a little too expensive, you have NO excuse! DO IT!

Tony is giving out promo coupons to racers and you are selling it to nonracers only?
What gives?

Yeah, maybe I should be more clear!
Tony is giving these certificates away to racers but the racers can not use them for themselves. They can give or sell them to non racers only and new track day riders only in an effort to get new riders onto the track.
The only reason I thought to sell it (at a much reduced cost compared to buying a track day) is because I couldn't find anyone I know who would DEFINATELY use it. And I know when someone offers anything free, almost anyone is going to pounce whether they plan on using it or not. The cert was free to me but I don't want to profit from it. That is why I will donate the proceeds of the sale to the "charities" I mentioned.
I kind of figured this could benefit more than 1 person, and bring a more solid chance of someone actually using the cert to get on the track.

Here is some clarification of the two programs we are running. The goal of both programs is to get people to try trackdays... and then possibly get them to try racing in the LRRS series.
PROGRAM ONE: (this is the one described in the Original Post) We sponsor the LRRS series by giving away 4 Free Trackday Certificates to certain races and finishing positions each LRRS Weekend. It's not always first place and it is spread out among Novices, Amateurs, Experts.
Racers that win one of these FREE trackday certificates can sell or give them to anyone that has not previously done a TTD before and is not a licensed racer.
The racer benefits by the amount they sell the certificate for. LRRS benefits by getting another rider to the track that might become a racer.
PROGRAM TWO:
These certificates are FREE to ANY LRRS racer. Racers can email me for the certificate or pick them up at the track.
• The racer fills out the certificate with their own name and race number.
• They give the certificate FREE to any street rider that has not previously registered for a TonysTrackDay
• The street rider gets a $50 discount when they sign up and submit the certificate.
• Once I have the certificate with the racers info on it, I then pay for one of the racers entry fees (worth $60)
Hope this clarifies things a bit?
Sorry everyone I was away at the track for the extended weekend!
The cert has been claimed and paid! (It is in the mail)
The money is going to the Karen Hornbecker injured rider fund!
Thank you, and thanks Tony for posting the info!
